Kore.ai's existing architecture was built for single-turn conversational bots and couldn't support the emerging demand for multi-step autonomous agents. Large enterprise clients needed AI that could call APIs, spawn sub-agents, maintain long context across sessions and handle complex decision trees — capabilities the platform wasn't designed to deliver.

Platform Architecture Review
Conducted a full audit of the existing bot runtime, NLU pipeline and deployment infrastructure to identify the core bottlenecks — concurrency limits, stateless context and rigid turn-based flow architecture.
Agentic Orchestration Layer
Designed a new agent runtime with stateful session management, tool-calling scaffolding, agent-to-agent delegation, parallel task execution and graceful failure recovery — without breaking existing bot deployments.
Tool Registry & Connector Library
Created a centralised tool registry with 50+ enterprise integrations — Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Workday — letting agents invoke real business actions as part of multi-step workflows without custom integration work.
Enterprise Observability Suite
Built conversation analytics, agent trace visualisation, LLM cost tracking, SLA monitoring and A/B test infrastructure — giving enterprise clients full visibility into production agent behaviour and performance.
